We hear a lot of excuses about not having enough time to train. But if you prioritize your training and care enough about your strength and health, you’ll find the time. And since strength training is the best thing you can do for your body, we here at Kratos Strength Systems strongly recommend you make some time to get yourself stronger.
Bridget Divane works full-time as a nurse in the OB/GYN department of St. Joseph Hospital. She spends her shifts on her feet and moving around patients — sometimes literally having to carry them. Since Bridget began training, she’s noticed that her shifts don’t wear her down as much as they used to. Not only does she enjoy getting stronger for the sake of getting stronger, it’s also made her job a lot easier.
On top of the long shifts at the hospital, Bridget takes classes in pursuit of a PhD, has a social life, get a decent amount of sleep, and still trains three times per week. She’ll admit that days come where she’s worn down from work and school, where the time and desire to train is very limited. But she gets it done.
Even with a demanding schedule, she’s made steady progress for months. On Friday, Bridget deadlifted a personal best of 187.5 pounds three reps along with bench pressing 107 pounds for three reps and squatting 175 pounds. Plenty more progress to come!
