Kratos Strength Systems trains clients under the Starting Strength method of barbell strength training. People of all ages, as young as 8 years old and up to 92 years old, have used the Starting Strength method training to improve their athletic ability and their quality of life.

Bill Coyne began training with barbells as a teenager at Metroflex Gym in Arlington, Texas. He has competed in powerlifting since 2006 and has coached the basic barbell exercises since 2008. Bill is an alum of St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM, and founded the St. John’s Barbell Club while attending the college.
Spencer is a lifelong hockey player and a native of Flint, Michigan. He holds a B.S. in Human Biology from Michigan State University with a minor in Health Promotion. From 2010 to 2016, Spencer was the head coach at Black Iron Training (a Starting Strength gym) in Lansing, MI where he coached people of all ages and abilities using the Starting Strength Method.
